BOOSTER CLUB
To our Parents of the 2011 Football team !!!!!
The 2011 football season was very special to our young men, the families, coaches, community, and every student at Monroe Area High School. It brought together a sense of family, continuity, togetherness, and it set the tone for a great school year. It has carried over to other athletic programs in the school.
The one area that we have to fix to be considered in the mix of other top football programs in the state is an active booster club with every one of our players parents involved. The expenses in football are very high and at Monroe, we’ve only had a handful of parents raising all of the money and doing all of the work. We all have jobs and other responsibilities, but if EVERY PARENT would just do a little something for our kids, we can get things that other teams have.
This year we need new Home jerseys and pants. That’s about $15,000 to get a set for all players. We also have reconditioning for our equipment ( $6000), shirts, shorts, and all kinds of equipment from footballs, knee, hip, thigh, and shoulder pads. Here are a few things that parents can help with.
1. Sailing Ads for the football program
2. Selling Signs to put on our fence
3. Working in the concession stands at football games. Varsity, JV and 9 th.
4. Getting donations from people
5. Working and setting up a Golf tournament
Please plan on coming to a football parent meeting Monday February 28th at 6:30 pm in the Auditorium at MAHS. We need all parents to attend.
